My name is Fedile Mofokeng; I’m a 22 year old Female who has graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a B.A. in Film and Television Studies. I am a dynamic individual that can adapt to any situation faced with. I have good communication skills which I think is very important when working with students as well as when it comes to working with parents so that we can help their child reach their highest academic level. I am a hard worker who enjoys learning new things and interacting with new and different people. I have the willingness to help others while having the ability to deal with given tasks with patience and care. Other people tend to see me as being calm, thoughtful and a good listener. In addition to my experience and personal qualities, I have an Educational background as I have obtained my National Senior Certificate as well as a Degree in Film and Television Studies and believe strongly in the importance of Education. I have previous child care experience from volunteering as an assistant grade R teacher for 2 months, as well as serving at the Kids Church. I have a passion of being around children as well as helping them reach their academic potential. I would say my teaching method is very interactive, and intimate and that’s why I prefer individual lessons so that way I can teach my students according to their pace and understanding. I believe that every child has the opportunity to reach their fullest academic potential as long as there is a teacher by their side guiding them through all the hurdles that come with being a student. I believe in a gentle and patient approach to teaching and strive to meet the student at their place of need. As a tutor I know what an impact it makes to have someone who believes in your potential and I’d like to be that person to your child.

Marcus Garvey once said “ A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.” That is why I love history, history is the foundation of everything we know today and everything that we are. History has helped mould us into who we are today. However I cannnot deny the fact that history doesn’t seem fun for everyone, and that’s where I come in. As a tutor it is my aim to make you see history in a whole new light and will leave you absolutely in love with the subject just as I have come to love it myself. I intend on creating an environment where fun is prioritized and through that I believe that learning will naturally flow.

Having had a tutors myself help me get through the English language in Primary School is the main reason I’d be the best person to tutor this subject because I know from first-hand experience what a huge imapact it makes on having the correct tutor to help you master this language. Drama
From the start it has been the theatres business to entertain people, and it needs no other passport than fun! Drama is the one subject where you can have the utmost fun and get graded for it. For as long as I can remember I have had a passion of entertaining people, from being part of the drama club my whole primary schooling, from taking Drama as a subject from grade 10-12 and even taking it further to studying Film and Television in university. Entertainment is in my blood. I have gone through all the stages of drama and have overcome many personal things in my life through having dramatic arts see me through it... I love how the second you get onto that stage all the problems of the world seem to fade away for just that bit and all that is left is you, your character and a stage. Dramatic Arts has helped me overcome so many social insecurities and has helped me become much more confident in dealing with people and I’d love to teach your child how to reach a place of complete confidence in themselves.
