I have an Bachelor of Science honors (cum laude) degree with a specialization in Microbiology. My approach to teaching includes : Identifying the needs of learners and if necessary adapted course content and delivery style to meet their needs. Assisting with homework and other class assignments Developing academic strategies to improve student self-sufficiency.

I have a very keen interest in the study of biology and enjoy learning as well as teaching others about it. I received a distinction for this subject in Grade 12 and therefore have the knowledge and key understandings to help others grasp difficult concepts or areas they may be struggling in. I facilitate learning in a relaxed and open environment so that learners feel comfortable enough to identify their learning difficulties and challenge them in a confident manner. I also show empathy for my students, which allows me to understand and relate to where the student is coming from and difficulties they may be experiencing.

My name is Sarah. I'm currently doing my BCom in Business management at Unisa. I'm also a youth leader. I'm hardworking, honest, patient and reliable.

I consider myself a slow learner and I will always have to work very hard to achieve the academic results I want. I understand if someone does not get something right away and I am more than happy to explain things in different ways, be it colours making up songs or acronyms or drawings. I believe that in order to achieve good marks in biology or life sciences you first have to understand how your brain remembers information best and then apply those ways. Biology is all around us, and making it a part of your life instead of seeing it as a school subject makes it more fun which in turn makes it easier for your brain to learn and accept knowledge.
