Hi! I'm Alex, a final year student at Rhodes University studying Geography & Environmental Science. I've been tutoring privately for 3 years now, and currently work as a student assistant at Kingswood College. I love working with children, and helping them to grasp difficult concepts. I am a Rhodes University Graduate, with a BA degree in Organizational Psychology, Politics and international Studies, i also have minor credits in In English, isiXhosa, Legal Theory and iiNtetho Zobomy (a philosophy credit). My schooling background includes History and Business Studies and Life Sciences. Growing up in the eastern cape in a poor area from an early age I have developed a deep passion for learning because i believed education leads to the eradication of poverty. I thought myself English from a very early age and the passion for the language has been a great influence in my learning. i strongly believe that languages give a lot of influence and we can overcome a lot of stereotypes in life simply by the use of language. The whole point of tutoring is to help people also find passion in not just the excellence of the subject that they are learning but also in the learning process itself. learning should not be intimidating but it should be relaxed and enjoyable.

I am an experienced high school math tutor. I have been teaching maths to students since 2014 and have had great success with those students who are wanting to improve. I am a sporty PhD student, currently doing my PhD in Fisheries Science.

I am a Bachelor of Commerce graduate and an LLB student. Passionate, multi-faceted and hard-working young woman with a strong interest in social justice and a desire to help communities in need. I have always made it a point to be involved in a widespread of activities in terms sports, the arts and academics both in and out of school. I regard myself as both a team player and a leader and these qualities to me are not mutually exclusive but rather work together in any task I undertake.

I come from a ‘teaching family’. Most of my family members teach in some way or another, and I seem to have inherited this passion. I like to create an environment in which students feel passionate about learning and take their engagement in the material in their own hands. There is no greater reward for me than seeing a student enjoy learning and challenging themselves. I am an English home language speaker. I did a BA in English Literature cum laude, for which I also received Academic Honours. I have a BA Hons in Political Science and International Relations cum laude, for which I received an award for coming top of my Postgraduate class. I am currently working on my MPhil in African Studies at the University of the Free State. I have many years of experience in facilitating, lecturing and teaching. Often when I lecture or teach, it is my favorite part of the day. I am an outgoing person, I enjoy spending time with people. I also spend a lot of my time on community development projects; for example, I am a consultant on the government’s new Gender Based Violence policy. I love to be creative and engage with new ideas and I also really enjoy being active.

I am a 22 year old male student doing my final year in Pharmacy at Rhodes University. My main specialty is Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Biology as this is what I spend most of my time doing. But I am also very good in languages I speak quite a number of South African languages. I've spent a lot of time doing Sciences and I love helping people who want to uderstand more about them. I am a fun person to interact with and very easy to talk to. I am also a part time musician and I'm able to play five instruments

I live in Grahamstown, South Africa and I have a PhD in Biochemistry from Rhodes University. I enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge with young talents. I am flexible with time and easily approachable. Online teaching is my first preference as I don't have my own transport. However, if you can come to my place I would be happy to teach you without charging extra for overtime.

I am a university lecturer in the areas General Management, Project Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management but have a background and honours degree in Information Systems and have worked in industry, both local and UK, for over 20 years.

I am a student at Rhodes University in Eastern Cape. I am doing my final year in the Bachelor of Pharmacy and would want to assist students in Mathematics biology and Chemistry, preferably from grade 8 to grade 12. I think this would help both the student and me. I have a passion for teaching and also keep my mind alive by navigating through a lot of questions.

I’m a pharmacy student currently studying at Rhodes University. My hobbies include cooking , reading and working out. I’m a passionate, optimistic individual and I love helping others.
