Experience / Education

Studied Bbusc in Actuarial Science at UCT (2002-2006), Majored in Economics and Statistics as well as actuarial mathematics. Completed the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) as well as CFA (certified financial analyst) qualifications. Furthering my studies at UNISA where I am completing a Bcom(Econ). I have a passion for social security studies, particularly in the realm of intergenerational transfers and the use of the social contract to manage risk.

Very people orientated, willing to go the extra mile. Wide variety of past exam questions. Top achiever myself in the subject and have helped quite a large number of students pass exams and gain higher symbols. Qualified as an actuary and won the Maths 1 prize with a score of 100%. I focus on the fundamentals and make maths fun by linking it to real world problems as well as history. I am a very patient teacher but at the same time can teach the student the importance of discipline and practice. I maintain relationships with students and assist them on their progression through university. I have good relationships with other university lecturers and examiners and so remain up to date on the latest examination trends.
