BSc Mathematical Sciences graduate (Stellenbosch) and currently completing my MSc in Actuarial Science. Available to tutor students between grades 8-12 in mathematics, physical sciences and business studies. I have always had a passion for mathematics and have extensive tutoring experience all the way up to 3rd year university level. My teaching methods vary depending on the student's needs and a custom study plan is designed for each student based on their strengths and weaknesses. Mathematics
I am obsessed with mathematics and its applications. During my university studies I obtained two distinctions for my third year mathematics courses, namely abstract mathematics and applied mathematics, and also placed third in the 2019 South African Mathematical Modelling Competition. I love finding inventive ways to describe and understand the rigorous underlying theory in a way that makes it intuitive and attractive - even to those who can't stand the thought of studying it. Mathematics is an important subject that everybody should be able to enjoy. I work together with students to design an effective study plan not based on pre-existing and outdated methods. With the right guidance and a bit of patience and determination, you will be surprised at how well you can do in the subject.
