Hello. My name is Ian. I love meeting people from all walks of life and building relationships. I've dabbled as an actor and made a few movies and in my past life I was even a DJ on our local radio station. I laugh boisterously and I absolutely enjoy cooking, but I hate cleaning up after. They ban me from the kitchen all the time because of the mess I make, but I know they like my food, because they always come back for more. I've been a tutor and coach for more than 8 years. I read my degree in Applied Psychology and Communication from the University of Cape Town and I also have a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate. In my career, I have assisted many students improve their English reading, speaking and grammar. I can help you regardless of your level of English proficiency and age. Some of my students are as young as 5 and others as old as 60+. I am very patient, caring and understanding. I will consistently adapt to your needs and provide you with effective guidance and continue to motivate you you every step of the way. My lessons are interactive and fun. Notwithstanding, I am task oriented and focused on ensuring that we achieve the identified milestones in order to gain success for you. So, if you're wanting to learn English as a new life skill, or for work or academic advancement, or for the shear joy of communicating clearly in English when you travel? I can help. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you.
