Hi there. My name is Siobhan O'Neill, I completed high school at Brescia House in 2014. I completed my degree in Equine Science in 2019 and I am now studying to get into Veterinary Science. I absolutely love animals, I have had many dogs, my favourite breed has to be the Staffordshire Bull terrier and I ride horses and compete in Show Jumping. My favourite school subjects are: Biology Physical Science Mathematics English and History. During the lockdown I was required to provide this service, which involved explaining, teaching and facilitating learning for an online school.
Cashier and retail assistant
I generally work during holidays or on weekends at a retail store. I work at an Equine related store where I aid in ringing up items as well as helping customers locate their desired item whether it is a girth, clothing, saddle, safety equipment or lunging equipment.
Horse work rider
I ride other people's horses to assist them with their fitness levels as well as training experiences. I would often take on horses that may have a bit of an attitude issue and work on their problem areas.
Au Pair
I would collect the kids from school assist with homework, transport them to their extra mural activities, assist with exam and test preparation. And when I had free time I would study or ride horses either my own or someone elses.

Equine Science - TUT
Equine scientists apply their knowledge of the field to improve the welfare of both equine athletes and leisure horses. They may also use their expertise to enhance the relationship between a horse and rider. One of the most common occupations associated with equine science is that of a horse trainer, and the responsibilities of the job go beyond simply teaching a horse to respond to specific commands. A skilled equine scientist might also oversee the diet, breeding and rehabilitation of one or more horses.

Mathematics
Mathematics was one of my top subjects in school. A lot of people struggle with Algebra but it was my favourite section which was taught in the beginning phases of high school and used all the way up. I believe Mathematics is very immportant as it will be used daily.

Biology
This was my all time favourite subject in high school. I love the whole concept of the word biology (meaning the study of life) and with biology you can further into the medical fields which is what I am trying to do at this point in time. I was often the one explaining a few concepts differently than our teacher did to peers to help them understand the section at any given time.

Physical Science
Physical Science was a highly enjoyable subject for me. I've always loved science and physics can be tough so I believe I help make sense of it by explaining the concepts through until its practically understandable.
