I am a 19 year old BCom Marketing student from South Africa. I am half Portuguese and half South African thus, I have been exposed to multiple languages throughout my lifetime. I grew up travelling a lot as majority of my family live in Europe and the US, which has exposed me to a large range of cultures and languages. I have worked for a year in Germany looking after a young German boy and teaching him English as well. Thus, I have experience with teaching people English who speak a foreign mother tongue. I am a very understanding, social, attentive and ambitious person with a love for languages and your learning concerns will be the first of my priorities. With regards to my teaching style, I am very adaptable and can develop a personalised teaching experience for each of my students based on their preferences. I love getting to know people and making them feel comfortable in their learning environment.

Experience
Au Pair/ Tutor
I lived with the family that I au paired for in Munich, Germany. I looked after a 3-year-old boy who could not speak any English. This, forced me to learn German and now I am quite proficient in the language (busy with getting my A1-B2 German language certificates). I prepared meals for him, took him to after-school activities, took him and picked him up from school. I also taught him some English, played with him and just developed an all round excellent relationship with him and the family to which I still keep in contact with.
Waitress
I was working at Aroma Coffee Roastery as a waitress to raise enough money for my flights, accommodation and overall travels to Europe. I worked as a regular waitress as well as an ice-cream scooper from time to time. I helped the manager with organising waiter shifts and recruiting new waitering staff

BCom Marketing Management - IMM Graduate School
I really enjoy my degree as I have always had a passion for business and have been exposed to this environment since a young age due to our family business. I am studying a BCom through IMM with the hopes of eventually returning to Europe where I plan on completing my specialties in this degree.

English Language and Literature
English is my first language and I achieved high marks in this subject throughout my whole school career. I can also speak afrikaans fluently which means I can teach afrikaans individuals in their home language if this is their preference. I have still kept all my IEB English portfolios with past speeches, tests, exams, literature works and assessments as a whole. I am willing to share these resources which will provide high school students with a credible grade 12 year end portfolio for English moderation without all the hassles of compiling one from scratch. I am happy to tutor people of all ages, gender identities and ethnicities.
