Hello I am Isabella Heyink, I am a native Afrikaans speaker from Cape Town but I am also fluent in English and have been teaching English for a couple of years now. I absolutely interacting and spending time with people. I am really passionate about teaching and my goal is to help as many students I can to reach their language proficiency! I love to be outdoors and swimming is my favorite activity. I have spent two years abroad in Belgium and in Holland as an Au Pair, taking care of children and teaching them English, then I did a TEFL course so that I could teach English with the efficient tools, I am currently a full-time online English tutor on various language teaching platforms and I would love to help you in any way I can!

Experience
Au Pair
As an Au Pair you take care of children which can include many different things like; feeding, packing lunch, taking them to school, playing with them, cooking, laundry etc. But I also had to teach the children English because they only spoke Dutch and it was our only form of communicating. It was great making such an impact and learning them beginner and conversational English.
Online English tutor
I had to teach English from all ages and levels to mostly Chinese students on a language teaching platform called Amazing Talker. I got to communicate with students from all over the world and help them improve their English for either their work, travel or studies. I also specialize in writing, test preparation and business English.

I did 5 years of high school at Strand High. I am going to study Business at university shortly.

I create fun and interactive lessons that's never boring. I am an extremely hard worker and give a 100% to everything I do. I will not move onto the next topic unless the student completely understands every aspect of the topic and feels confident. I am very patient and my students never have to be afraid to make mistakes, that is normal and part of the process. I also have plenty of experience teaching English and have learned a lot from my experience.
