I have taken Mathematics at a first year university level (comprised of Algebra and Calculus) and statistics at a second year university level. I and also achieved a distinction in mathematics in high school at an IEB level. I have a broad conceptual understanding of the subject and thus will be able to teach it in a way that makes sense to my students, rather than just the way I was taught it. I would be able to teach algebra, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, geometry, sequences and series and any other topic covered in the mathematics syllabus.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, majoring in molecular cell biology and physiology. I achieved a distinction for Life Sciences in high school at an IEB level and understand what is expected of learners at a high school level. I have a very vast understanding of many aspects of biology such as DNA, biochemistry, biotechnology, genetics, ecology, physiology, cytology and microbiology. I also have a developed essay writing skill and can assist in developing the learners writing ability. I also am very passionate and enthusiastic about biology and will love inspiring that same passion in others.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Science degree and have taken Physics and Chemistry at a university level. I achieved high marks for science in high school at an IEB level and have a thorough understanding of the various topics covered in high school namely thermodynamics, organic chemistry, stoichiometry, acids and bases, the periodic table, newtons laws, work energy and power, electrodynamics, electricity and light. I offer insight into what is required at a high school level and understand that the key to performing well in science is having a solid understanding of the basic concepts and I am prepared to cater to the learners individual needs.

I have a thorough understanding of the way that English is tested at a high school level and thus understand what is expected of the learner. I achieved a distinction in English Home Language at an IEB level in high school and have a good baseline knowledge in English literature works such as Othello, Antony and Cleopatra, The Crucible, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby and Americanah. My current university course is a writing intensive course and therefore I have an advanced essay writing capability and could offer good pointers on how to write a good essay and lay the groundwork for solid essay writing in the future.
