Taught maths (and sometimes physical science) in CAPS curriculum. As a teacher, I used to utilize discussion based lessons in order to promote deeper understanding of the concepts. Used to create random spot tests to keep learners actively engaged with their work, especially for theorem proofs and formula derivations
Process chemist/analyst
Plant processing. Extraction of the sugar components from the leaves and heart of the plant. Analysis of the obtained juice to confirm if the required components were successfully extracted and quantifying them.

Deals with various aspects of chemistry including chemical reaction and chemical composition of substances. This is also where I got to do an intense study in mathematics. Differential and Integral Calculus, linear algebra, deferential equations, etc

Specialising in textile chemistry, I dealt more with pretreatment, finishing, dyeing of a fabric. My research project dealt more with warning clothes, their behaviour under UV radiation. Colour resistance under sunlight.
