So a little about myself... I Matriculated from Durban High School with the class of 2013 and thereafter moved to Cape Town to pursue my studies. After obtaining my BHSc Degree from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology at the end of 2019, I was employed by a private pathology company in the capacity of a Medical Laboratory Scientist. I consider myself to be a hard working and responsible individual with a fair sense of humour. I enjoy learning, especially so when its fun and light-hearted. My interests vary from working with cars and learning about science, to online gaming and reading.

Working as a Med Lab Scientist sees us processing and running of patient samples within a pathology lab. The scope of Clinical Pathology encompasses the testing of specimens in the Chemistry, Haematology, or Microbiology discipline. These specimens can range from blood samples to nasopharyngeal swabs or even urine samples etc. We perform a variety of tests by running these samples on certain analyzers and obtain results which are passed on to the Pathologists or referring Doctors once done.
After being encouraged to do so, I undertook a TEFL course and discovered the love for teaching English. Initially, I had not thought that the course could be entertaining but after engaging with it, my whole perspective changed. Also, my love for reading equipped me fairly well with my grasp of the English language.

Another strong passion which I had, was the love of geography. Learning about the intricacies of climates and ecosystems was an eye opener for me in the real world. I could better see how these aspects affected us more than we thought. Again, I have a fair grasp on the subject matter and also have a clear and concise method of teaching the topic to others.

Ever since I was a child, I was fascinated about the human body and could spend hours reading the medical books we had at home (even though I barely understood a lot of it). This interest never waned and it and was the main reason why I pursued a career in the medical field. I love learning about all aspects of biology and it is a constant thrill to discover new facts and information. I have a fairly good grasp of the subject matter and have a clear and concise method of teaching the topic to others.
