I have my Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of The Free State. My majors are English and Mathematics. I have been tutoring for 3-4 years now. I also went to America for a year where I was au pairing. I really enjoy being able to help learners achieve their full potential and to be able to help them understand the work better. I am currently teaching English at a high school for Grade 8, 9, and 10. I am a sporty person and I also love reading and exploring. I am a very caring, compassionate, motivating and patient person.

Au Pair
I looked after a baby boy. My daily routine would be to give bottles, clean diapers and put the baby down for his daily naps. I would also go on walks with him and when he was older, I would take him to a play area and on some play dates. I would also help the parents with cooking and cleaning.
English Tutor
I would have learners come to me after school, where I would help them with their English. If they were struggling with any particular topic, we would focus on that and I would try to explain the work, give examples and give some activities for them to try and do. I would also give them comprehension to test their reading skills as well as to strengthen their reading. I also gave them a few words to learn, and then I would test their spelling. I would try my best to help the learner to understand the work and encourage them.
Maths tutor
I would have learners come to me after school, where I would help them with their mathematics. If they were struggling with any particular area, we would focus on that and I would try to explain the work, give examples and give some sums for them to try and do. I would try my best to help the learner to understand the work and encourage them.

While studying for my Education degree and I decided to choose Mathematics as one of my majors. I really enjoyed studying mathematics. I know how difficult mathematics can be and that it is not always easy to understand. I want my students to have confidence when doing mathematics. I am a very patient and motivating person and I will do anything in my power to help my students improve in their work.
