I took Geography as an elective in high school and really enjoyed the subject. The mix of theory and practical elements provided a good balance for me to enjoy the subject and perform well in my matric year.

Firstly, my teaching philosophy is to minimise the students weaknesses and teach to the students strengths. I have the skillset to identify the types of learning styles the student has and to be able to present information in a way that has the greatest effect. my main goal in tutoring is to build confidence in the student and to enhance their study skills and overall performance. I know I will be able to do this because I am a compassionate person and I am able to build a good rapport with the student. I am also empathetic, non-judgemental, enthusiastic, a good listener and most of all, patient. I am passionate about this particular subject because I hold a degree in Environmental science. Geography has always been an interest and to teach or aid in the study of it, is an absolute joy. In addition, I do have experience in teaching Geography at any level, that is why I will be the perfect candidate.

My professional foundation is that of a Geographer. I passed geography with a distinction in Grade 12, I have a BSc degree in human and physical geography, a BSc Honours degree in physical geography and lastly; I am completing a Masters degree in Environmental Management.

I have a long-standing passion for both physical and human geography and would love to teach people about it. It was my favourite subject at school and as a result I decided to pursue an environmental career after school. I obtained a degree in Environmental Management from UNISA with 7 distinctions and am completing my BSc. Honours degree in Geography this year, also from UNISA. Apart from my qualifications in the fields of geography and environmental management, I believe that the fact that I obtained my qualification/s through UNISA whilst working a full-time job has given me the ability to study efficiently and effectively since I had to do this under the pressure of time. This is a skill that I can pass on to my students in addition to Geography knowledge which will not only help them succeed in the field of Geography but also in any other subject that they are studying. I am very articulate and can speak fluent English and Afrikaans.

I am a parent with five children, eldest daughter 22 and 20 year old son just finished Matric, 16 year old son in grade 9 and twins in grade 1. I enjoy working with teens and am very patient and versatile. I enjoy one on one interaction as it engages learners more effectively.

I am a hard working, passionate and dedicated tutor. I am willing to work hard alongside your child to help them reach their full potential. I'm a business student and so business is my passion. I love cycling and the outdoor, as well as hiking.

I am a very easy person to get along with. I am enthusiastic, and try help as much as I can. I am well presented and take responsibilities seriously. I am a student at Stellenbosch University doing a triple major in Psychology, Industiral Psychology and Sociolgy. I am a keen sportsman, and enjoy being fit.

I am a hard working individual with a passion for education, who is looking to gain more knowledge and experience in my teaching pedagogy. I have a lot of passion with regards to literature as while as language. I am an outgoing, energetic individual who is well organised and always prepared.
