I love reading and finding meanings and understanding complexities in literature. I have a keen interest for literature and the way that it can portray social struggles and life lessons. Mathematics is a very important subject but it is also very challenging at times. Throughout primary school and high school I was tutored in mathematics and it broadened my understanding and capabilities in mathematics. I would love to help someone else understand and achieve in this subject.

History was my favorite subject in school and was definitely the best part of my day. Even now in university I encounter history daily in subjects such as anthropology, criminology, and psychology. I would be the best tutor for history because I am passionate about history. I think that history is very important because it gives us an understanding of why things happen and why they continue to happen. I would love to help someone understand history. I matriculated with a distinction in history.

My family is Afrikaans speaking and I am English, but the exposure to Afrikaans has given me a new appreciation for it as a language that is interesting for its combination of many other languages. I would love to tutor Afrikaans because it is a subject that I always excelled in at school. I matriculated with a distinction in Afrikaans and through out my school career I never received lover than a distinction for my final results.

Biology was always one of my most interesting subjects in school. It completely broadened my understanding of life because it showed me the basics and complexities of life. Biology is not always the easiest subject to understand and I would love to help someone understand biology. Following the completion of my degree I hope to study nursing, I was inspired to do this because of my love for biology. I matriculated with a distinction in biology.

I think that English Vocabulary is important because English is a complicated language (especially if it isn’t your native language) and understanding English is important because it is the second most spoken language in the world. At the University of Pretoria (where I am studying) the language of instruction in all lectures is English so I have first hand experienced the importance of understanding English in its entirety. I matriculated with a distinction in English and I did a semester of English Vocabulary in University.

I would love to tutor English writing because I love writing. My favorite thing to do in both primary school and high school was creative writing. My love for reading goes hand in hand with my love for writing and I would love to help someone else improve their writing. I matriculated with a distinction in English.
